Queen of Sheba

The story of the Queen of Sheba appears in the first context of the Hebrew Bible. In the bible she is described as Queen of the East. Many scholars believe that she came from the Kingdom of Axum in Ethiopia, seeker of the truth and wisdom. She heard that King Solomon was a wise man. Many stories say that she traveled by camel bringing of many spices of frankincense, myrrh and gold to Jerusalem to meet King Solomon to test him of his knowledge with questions and riddles.

When she would question him and was given a satisfying answer, in turn he would teach her of his god Yahweh. Later she became a follower of Judaism. There are o stories that are said that she was tricked into King Solomon's infidelity or either married to him. There are different versions of the story of Queen of Sheba in the Biblical, Christianity, Islamic, Judaism, Ethiopian, Coptic and Yoruba texts as myths. Some Ethiopians believe this is how Christianity came into the country. The queen's existence is disputed among historians till this day.
